His heart is tied to his past…
When Sole Regret’s rhythm guitarist, Kellen Jamison, vowed to be faithful to
his fiancée and love her forever, he meant it. He never expected to lose her to
cancer so early in life. He’s certain he’ll never love again, but destiny has
another plan for him.
Her heart is tied to her work…
Grammy-winning classical composer and piano virtuoso, Dawn O’Reilly, is
overwhelmed with music-writing deadlines, a fickle muse, and high-expectations.
She doesn’t have time to find love, but chance seeks to interfere with her
carefully devised plans.
They’re bound to become entangled...
From the instant Kellen hears Dawn’s latest musical composition, his spirits
rise. The stirring melody and the remarkable woman responsible for its creation
are impossible to resist. His attraction is undeniable; her passion
unquenchable. Kellen teaches Dawn there’s freedom in bondage, while her
sensuality drives him to unleash his tightly controlled self-restraint. Will
the ropes Kellen uses to secure Dawn’s body be the force that binds them
together or ultimately sever all ties between them?
Combining
her love for romantic fiction and rock 'n roll, USA Today Best-Selling Author
Olivia Cunning writes erotic romance centered around rock musicians.
Raised on hard rock music from the cradle, she attended her first Styx concert
at age six and fell instantly in love with live music. She's been known to
travel over a thousand miles just to see a favorite band in concert. As a teen,
she discovered her second love, romantic fiction -- first, voraciously reading
steamy romance novels and then penning her own.
Olivia's first book in her Sinner's Tour Series, Backstage Pass, was published
in 2010 by Sourcebooks. Book two in the series, Rock Hard, was published in
2011 and the third book, Double Time just released November 2012. The last two
books in the series are expected to be out in 2013. Aside from the Sinners Tour
that launched her career, Olivia has been hard at work on a few other series
and stand alones . . . of course with the music turned up.

Hey everyone! Today Owen "Tags" Mitchell stopped by the blog to talk with me. Owen is the bassist for the rock band Sole Regret. He’s stopped by to answer some questions for me. You can find out more about him in the book Touch Me—the 4th
volume in the One Night with Sole Regret series.

________________________________________________________________________________
So Owen, how long have you been playing bass guitar?
Owen: I actually started with a regular guitar, but switched
to bass guitar after a couple years of trying to keep up with Kelly. He took
lessons from some old dude at a bar, and I followed him around because I was
bored. Kelly taught me to play because I was cramping his style or something.
So long story short, I started when I was fifteen and switched to bass when I
was seventeen. My fingers have been thanking me ever since I decreased string
count.
How did you become a member of Sole Regret?
Owen: I actually started as a member of Shade and Adam’s
original band, Desperation Normal. I answered an ad I saw on a bulletin board
at a bar. They were looking for a bassist. I brought Kelly along to the try-out
and convinced the guys that they were also looking for a second guitarist. Then
our drummer, Quint, apparently had his balls removed by his wife and he left
the band to change diapers or something, and Shade remembered he knew this one
geek who played drums in marching band back in his high school days. So he
found Gabe with his nose in a textbook, and somehow talked him into become our
new drummer. Once we had our lineup complete, Kelly had this amazing idea to
change the band name to Sole Regret. So yeah, that’s how it happened. Mostly.
How long did you know Kelly before you joined the band?
Owen: We met the first day of seventh grade. He let me sit
with him on the bus.
You have an usual nickname. How did you get the name “Tags”?
Owen: From wearing dog tags with my brother’s name on them.
He’s a Marine, currently on a mission in Afghanistan. Hope he makes it home
soon.
Owen: I assume you want to know why I went with a dydoe over
the more popular Prince Albert? I didn’t want to pee weird. At least, that’s
what I tell people. It probably has more to do with how great it feels.
Do you have any hobbies outside of music?
Owen: Do women count as a hobby? I do like women.
Isn't there someone special that you are seeing right now?
Owen: Caitlyn. She’s the sexiest woman I’ve ever been with.
And she’s smart and adventurous. She has a great sense of humor. She genuine
and beautiful, has a fantastic rack and… I’m currently looking for a new hobby.
How about answering a few questions from the fans?
Owen: Yeah sure. I’ve got nothing to hide.
Jackie asks, Owen why do you prefer older women?
Owen: They know who they are and don’t play head games. And
they’re also better in bed.
Melissa asks, Have you ever thought about leaving the band
and doing something else?
Owen: Not really, but I recently had someone tell me I
should become a male escort.
hardtof4 asks, What is your favorite indulgence when you’re on
the road or when you get home after touring?
Owen: Now or last week? So last week, I would have said my
favorite indulgence is going to sex clubs and exploring new activities. But
now, I don’t think I could survive without my iPad. It keeps me connected to
Caitlyn and my family. That’s what’s important, right? At home, I have to say
it’s my Mom’s fried chicken. That woman can cook.
Michelle asks, most of you have traditional, conservative
backgrounds, and I suspect your families are not aware about your life on the
road. How much of that is still part of your lives? Did you feel a need to
rebel or did being in the band give you an opportunity to explore different
sides of yourselves?
Owen: My brother knows a bit about my life on the road, but
I don’t share that stuff with the rest of my family. My Mom would freak out if
she knew about half the stuff I've done. Being in the band does present a lot
of opportunities I wouldn't have had otherwise. And yeah, I’m talking about
that hobby I’m trying to replace.
Shannon asks, who are your musical influences?
Owen: I was raised on country music—don’t tell Adam—so I
think some of that seeped into my blood at some point. And I love Lynyrd
Skynyrd. As for rock bass players I admire, I have to go with Cliff Burton,
Rudy Sarzo and Nikki Sixx.
Jena asks, if you were to describe yourself with one
word, what would it be?
Owen: fun
Jill asks, What’s the hardest part about being on the road?
Owen: Being away from home and my family. At least, Kelly’s
on the road with me. I don’t think I’d be able to tolerate the homesickness
without him there.
Sebu asks, When are you going to acknowledge and admit your
feelings for Kellen?
Owen: I admitted to him that he’s my best friend a long time
ago. I doubt anyone is surprised.
Ashley asks, I love that the boys in Sole Regret drink and
have fun but don’t indulge in drugs. I’m wondering if there is a reason that
they stay away?
Owen: I don’t need drugs to have fun, but once you've seen a
friend of yours overdose and nearly die, it makes it really easy to stay clean.
F.E asks, How would you describe the way your sex life was
before joining the band? Then after the band became famous? And now?
Owen: I’ve always loved sex. I just don’t have to do it
alone anymore.
Margo asks, Would you ever let another band member or members
watch and or participate in your "special time" with Caitlin?
Owen: I might let Kelly join us. If he promised not to steal
her away from me.
Tina asks, If the opportunity ever came up, would you like
to co headline with Sinners? and if so would you ever preform any songs
together?
Owen: Hell yeah! I love Sinners. I need to find out how Jace
does that bass triplet thing in their new single. I’m not sure how it would go
if we tried to play a song together. I don’t think our vocalists would be
willing to share the stage, but who knows; maybe they could repress their egos
enough to cooperate.
Will there be more interviews with the boys, now that all the books are out?
ReplyDelete~Michelle
Great interview. Loe both the Sinners and Sole Regret!
