Melissa Larson will never let
anyone hold
the reins in her life. She has been the rock in her family for more years
than
she can remember, and the fight to keep them together is her main
priority
right now. She has always been fiercely independent and proud. The
last thing
she will ever do is ask for someone else’s help. But when that choice is
out of
her control, forcing her to rely on others to save her and her family,
and pick
up the pieces that are left, will she be able to let someone else be her
strength?
The second Greg locks eyes with
Meli, he
knows that she is someone he needs. Someone he craves. Meli knew
the second she
met Greg that he would be nothing but trouble and heartache. Her life
takes an
unexpected turn, and that bitch Fate is back to wreak more havoc on
another
member of the Corps family.
All hell breaks loose, leaving Greg
no
choice but to call in a favor. He hooks back up with his old friend
Braxxon
Breaker from the Breakneck MC. Together, they make sure that nothing
threatens
anyone Greg loves again.

I love the men at Corps Security! And Mr. Greg Cage does not disappoint! I fell in love with Greg in Axel. And so I was so happy that Cage was getting his own book. And boy does he meet his match in Meli! The two of them are combustible and just sexy as all get out. This book gives a little of everything - a great romance, hot sex, fun and laughable moments and HEAs. This is can be read as a stand alone but I would high recommend reading Axel before diving into Cage. You will not be left disappointed. I can not wait for more stories from Corps Security and especially more from their favorite neighbor Sway!
I am on my way to Georgia to meet up with Greg Cage and Holt "Axel"
Reid security specialists and co-owners of Corps Security. Their
company and group of men are starting to make a name for themselves
around these parts, so I decided to do an interview with them to see how
it all started. Plus I was told to be prepared for some hot looking men
too. Which sure makes my job even that much sweeter.
As I pull up to the address I was given, I'm a bit confused by this strange person standing out front waving to me like a mad person. I'm almost afraid to get out of the car. As I park and start to open my door, a guy, I think, starts running towards me with his hands waving in every direction.
"Sweet baby Jesus in a manger! Are you here to see the boys over at Corps Security?"
I try to smoother back the laugh that eventually escapes my lips "Yes, do you work there?" not knowing if I should have admitted that to this person jumping up and down in front of me.
"Oh no darling, but I heard that some big time reporter was on her way to interview my men and I wanted to be the official welcome wagon to our little slice of the heaven! I'm Sway by the way" he says while extending his hand to me as if I was to kiss it. "and own the Salon next door. Girl, I could unleash some magic on those locks of yours!" He says as he takes the ends of my hair and starts to exam the tips shaking his head like my hair is on it's last limb of life. I stand there kinda stunned not really knowing what to say. When all of a sudden the front door of Corps Security comes flying open and a little spunky woman comes speed walking towards us.
"Sway!!! Will you please stop touching our guest. You are going to scare her away before she even meets Cage and Axel!! I am so sorry Becca!" She says all the while dragging me towards the Corps Security offices, "Sway gets a little over exhilarated when he thinks anyone is around that might be able to shine a little light on his business" she states almost apologetically.
Sway yells after us, "That is not true...well mostly not true. I was just wanted to make sure that she felt comfortable before meeting up with those big hunk of men!"
I wave back at Sway, who looks a bit dejected, "Maybe I'll come and see you after my interview" to which he jumps and claps in place for a few seconds then runs into the salon.
"He's a strange but interesting little man" I say with a smile once she let's go of me in the safety of the reception area.
"I am so sorry. I'm Emmy, the office manager and receptionist here at Corps Security. Please have a seat, can I get you anything?"
"No I'm good thank you."
Axel and Cage should be with you in a moment.
As I sit going through my notes, a huge shadow comes over me, blocking the overhead lights. I slowly look up to two menacing men standing over me with mile wide grins.
"Becca, so glad you were able to find us!" Says the guy with the jet black hair. "I'm Holt Reid but please call me Axel and this is my partner Greg Cage" he says while extending his hand. I stand quickly and shake both men's hands. I'm not a short girl, standing at almost 5'8", but I feel like I just landed from somewhere in Oz. Like I came from the land of the munkins.
I am at a loss for words, just staring at these gorgeous men in front of me. "Umm... Yeah, it was no problem. My dad said I must have been born with a GPS in my brain. I never get lost"
"Well then, we might have a job for you!" Greg says with a laugh. I smile and follow both men back to conference room near the back of the offices.
After some small talk, helping to put me at ease, we communicate without ever saying a word and get down to business.
First off, thank you so much for letting me come and talk to y'all today!
So tell me a little about yourselves and how the two of y'all met and became partners? "Well, Becca, I meet Axel the day his sorry ass showed up at the training center. He was a punk ass kid still wet behind the ears." Axel gives Greg a sharp punch to the shoulder and with a chuckle Greg continues. "Okay, okay... we were both a little lost I guess. I was about to get out and he was just coming in. I should actually say I was considering getting out. You could just see some kind of fire in his eyes. Some kind of need to succeed. I saw me. Didn't take long before we were brothers than team members."
So all of your employees were in the Marines with the two of you? They were. Some of us at different times and some of us together. I've known Greg the longest out of all of the group. The Marines brought us together and that's a bond we're damn lucky to have.

I hear the two of you had a mutual friend without ever knowing, Isabelle. How was it that two people as close as y'all are, never figured out you were talking about the same person? We didn't tell each other all our deep hurts. There wasn't any sharing our sob stories over ice cream and make overs. haha. Greg kind of went gray when he was deep in with Izzy. He still checked in but it wasn't like we talked every day. He was in Georgia running his own company and I was out West running mine. Both busy and with all the things he was dealing with it never came up. He would tell us about his girls but was always really protective of who she was.
"Izzy seems like a really special woman." Just as I am about to ask another question when Axel's phone goes off. "I'm so sorry, I need to take this, please excuse me." Axel says as he gives me a smile and slips out the door.
Well, I'll ask you Cage, what was it about Izzy that made you have that instant connection? There isn't much not to love about Izzy. She went through some shit but she was still so strong, so determined not to let it kill her. It was that strength inside her that made me connect instantly. Then, the more I got to know her the more she reminded me of my sister and there wasn't anything you could have told me from that moment on to make me look at her any other way. She was my sister and for the rest of my life she will continue that way.
Were you worried when Axel came back into her life? Not of him. I was worried about what him being back would do to her. She was already hanging on, hardly. I know Ax and I once I put it all together, who she was to him, I knew she needed him. He was her salvation.
Where do you Corp Security going in the next 5 years? Hopefully
we keep growing. We've been talking about taking on a few more team
members, building things up to a larger scale. Right now we're happy
how we are but in time we want more.
Axel peaks his head back in the door. "I'm sorry Becca but we are going to have to cut our interview short." Cage and Axel exchange a look that let's you know they are communicating without ever saying a word.
As Cage gets up, he shakes my hand and gives me an apologetic look. "No that's fine, I understand." I say, "Maybe I will go next door and get my hair done." Both men look at me with looks of horror and cry out "NO!" at the same time. "Maybe I should send in reinforcement and have Isabel meet you there." Axel states as Cage gives me a grin and let's out a small laugh. "Yeah that might be a good idea. Izzy can meet you and then we can all go grab some BBQ at Izzy's favorite place later and continue talking."
I agree "Sounds perfect".
