BLOG TOUR: Disconnected by Bethany Daniels

A Fast Paced Love Story!

Liam and Katy were high school sweethearts. Shortly after they graduated they ran off to Vegas to get married. Liam does theater acting and it's there that he is discovered by Excite Entertainment and flown to L.A.

Once he's in L.A his marriage takes the backseat to rubbing elbows with Hollywood's biggest and brightest. One night Liam throws a big party and Katy comes into their house filled with half dressed women. When Katy says she's going to leave, Liam doesn't believe her until he comes home from filming and finds a note that tears him apart.

Four years later, he's tried to move on but never let go of the love he has in his heart for his Katy. It's in a little town they are filming in that their paths cross again and Liam has to try and convince Katy that their love is worth fighting for.

Thank you so much Mr. & Mrs. Warren for sitting down today with me to talk. I know your time is precious and so I appreciate you taking the time out of your schedules.
Liam: *grabbing Katy's hand* Thank you for having the both of us.
Kate: Yes, thank you. It's usually only Liam anyone's interested in interviewing.
Liam: And please call us Liam and Kate. It sounds like your my parents questions. *flashing that movie star smile*
*Blushing* Ok so Liam, What went through your head the moment you saw Kate in Georgia?
Liam: A million different things. First that letter she wrote me, then all the moments of our lives we had ever spent together and all the time we spent apart.
Kate were you surprised that he found you after all those years?
Kate: Very. My whole life with Liam was very much out of sight out of mind to me. I could go about my life acting like I was just Kate Parker, a girl from a small town in Nevada that decided on a school on the other side of the country because she wanted a new life. But, when I saw him again...my old life and the memories thact came with it came crashing down on me.
You both seemed to connect back together so easily. Why do you think that was? I mean 4 years is a long time, people change. Yet the two of you seemed to have fallen back into a groove almost instantly.
Liam: 4 years is a long time, yes, but we have a history together. Even before things became romantic between us we grew up together, and know everything there is to know about each other. We've always had that sort of connection. We may have been apart all that time, but that doesn't kill the bond we had.
Kate: Right. A part of me never let go of him. I put all the distance and time between us because I thought it was better for him, that he didn't need me with him. I moved on emotionally with Luke, as you know I dated him for a long time, but ultimately we very much were best friends and depended on each other in that sense a lot more than we did as a partner in things.
Kate I’m glad to see that you doing so well after everything that has happened. Was it a hard recovery period?
Kate: Yes, very hard. *takes a deep breath* Like I said, Luke was one of my best friends, besides Krista, and losing him...especially in such a tragic un-necessary manner really was a hard blow. I had a lot of pent up guilt because the only reason he was with us when the accident happened was because I insisted he come along. But, like Liam said, sometimes things just suck and we're left to just move on. So I have, with Liam's help, and giving will Lucas as a middle name was a small way of keeping his memory alive for me.
Liam what were your thoughts during this time?
Liam: Honestly? I felt helpless. *scoots closer to Katy* There was only so much I could do to ease her burden, I think being able to get some closure at the memorial service helped some too. Mrs. Austin said herself that she wanted people to remember him with their happy memories, and I think Katy has a lot of those to think of when she remembers him. And if she needs me to be her shoulder to cry on again, then I will be.
Liam you seemed really determined to win Kate back? Any doubts during that time or where you just MR. Confident?
Liam: Oh there was plenty of doubt. Especially when I came to her classroom and she turned me away and went on with Lucas. That killed me. I wanted a rewind button to just go back to when we were home in Nevada where it was us against the world, even though then I was a nobody, at least I knew I was doing something right.
How are you adjusting to parenthood?
Liam laughs: It's a big adjustment. It's one thing to stay up all hours because you just feel like it. You know, clubbing, entertaining, whatever. But oh man is it different when you're up because your baby is colicky and the only way he'll  settle and just go to sleep is if you walk up and down the hall with him, but...it's the hardest and most rewarding thing I've ever done.
Kate: You know all those millions of fans think you're sexy for just looking a certain way on screen. But I love that I'm the only one that gets to see you like that, because it's definitely hotter than any of those love scenes you do.
Thank you again for taking the time to talk to you. And I wish you both the best of luck in the future.

Both: Thank you.

A retaling of Reconnected from Liam's POV: High school sweethearts elope after graduating from High School. Liam and Katy Warren are ready to take on the world. Liam is an actor who gets discovered in their small Nevada hometown and before you know it is living the celebrity life in Hollywood. The only problem is that Liam gets caught up in the fame and fortune and leaves Katy wondering what happened to the love of her life. After a night of Liam putting "Business" before her, she gets feed up and leaves.

Four years later while shooting a movie in Georgia Liam finds Katy although she has moved on and is now going by Kate Parker. The only problem...they are still married and Liam is going to use that to the best of his ability to win her back.

I liked seeing this story through Liam's eyes. You get to see just how committed he is to this relationship and how much he truly loves Kate. Plus the guys POV is always a little comical.

Bethany Daniel lives in Texas with her husband and 2 sons. She enjoys reading, photography and, of course, writing. Bethany really found the passion for writing again this last year and came up with the idea for Reconnected after years of following Hollywood gossip and reading books about girls always chasing the guys and thought it would be nice for it to be the other way around. She is currently writing Disconnected, the story of Reconnected from Liam's POV.
