SPOTLIGHT: Author L.K. Collins - Fatalism

Alexa Schaefer has been through more pain and hurt in her life than your average twenty-eight year old.She protects her heart by controlling everything around her and living her life according to a strict set of rules. For years, she has lived behind a wall, not allowing anyone into her heart. That is, until she meets Vincent, a man she can't get out of her head no matter what she tells herself.

On the outside, Vincent Mileski appears to be a confident, no nonsense attorney. A prodigy in the field of law, he has just won the biggest case of his career. Needing out of the spotlight, Vincent moves back to his home state of Colorado to get some time alone to heal from a previous betrayal. He hasn’t had a woman turn his head in years, that is,until he meets Alexa. After only knowing her name and the sweet taste of her kiss, she is torn from his arms.

Will fate bring these two back together, or will they spend an eternity searching?

I nodded my head again still biting my lip, and he slid himself into me. Once he filled me, he circled his hips pushing and expanding, touching every inch inside of me. The feeling was amazing. I dropped my head and closed my eyes tightly as he slid out slowly and thrust back inside of me.
“Look at me, baby,” he demanded.
My head snapped up, and I locked eyes with him. His hair was messy and the small amount of facial hair I saw in the reflection was hot as hell. His brows were creased as he loved my body with his. He picked up speed and was pounding me. He showed no mercy, and I loved that. A sheen of sweat came across his forehead as he worked so hard to pleasure both of us. I clung to the sink with everything I had. The pressure from Vincent’s weight, gripping onto me and slamming into me, made me realize why he said to hold on and not let go.

Fatalism was your debut novel. How did you come about releasing your first book? Have you always wanted to write?
I have always has a passion for reading, after talking with my husband about the books I was reading he said, “Why don’t you write a book?” I was shocked at his response and then we talked for hours about the ideas I had. Bam, that’s how the, The Life. Destiny. Fate Series was born.

When writing do you pull from real life experience?
No, I really try to keep the two separate.

What is your writing process? Late nights? Music?
I write 10,000 words per week to and from work during my commute and on my lunch breaks. Everything else is gravy. YES, late nights always happen and music is a must!

Has the author experience been everything that you thought it would be? What have you learned the most about releasing your novel?
Yes, this experience has been amazing. It has far surpassed my expectations. I would say what I learned most about releasing my first novel is, to take my time and enjoy the experience. If at any point I start to stress and am not having fun, I reevaluate and put myself in check.

Who is your FANGIRL author and have you met that person yet?
Nicole William, is my all time favorite author and YES I met her in Vegas. She was amazing
.
So next up in the Life.Destiny.Fate Series is Abel and Cara’s story. Can you give a little hint of what to expect with Determinism.
Oh Cara and Abel, they’ve been so much fun to learn about. I loved writing their story. I can tell you that in Determinism you get both Cara and Abel’s perspective. The SEX is hot, hot, hot and there is way more variation in Determinism than there was in Fatalism. Oh and Abel had a dirty mouth.

Thank you for having me Becca, MUAH. Love, LK XOXO
