BLOG TOUR: My Everything by Heidi McLaughlin

When Nick Ashford lost his friend, Mason, he didn’t realize he was going to lose his family as well, but that’s exactly what happened. Alone and in a foreign country, Nick is working on rebuilding his life one patient at a time, that is, until a striking volunteer makes her presence known.

Can Nick finish his year in Africa without risking his heart being broken again, or is he willing to start a new chapter in his life before his return to Beaumont?

I am a HUGE fan of Forever My Girl and the Beaumont Series. So when I saw that Nick was going to get his own novella - I was pumped up. I know that a lot of people didn't like Nick. I saw Nick differently though. Nick was just fighting for what he thought was his future. Wouldn't you? In this novella, we follow Nick after he has left Beaumont and is in Africa struggling with his decisions and wondering if he really screwed up and how can he move on. I loved how we got to see Nick and his struggles, even before Liam was back in the picture. As he tries to move on, he starts to have feelings for a nurse he meets while in Africa. Will Nick be able to follow his dreams and find the one who is his everything? I would definitely recommend this book to any Forever My Girl fans. I think it is a nice companion piece that fills in some of the holes and lets you see Nick in a different light.
