Two women. Carly & Tabitha. Both have suffered life-altering events that have left them both traumatically damaged.
Carly
Sloan’s life was perfect until the night her security and innocence was
torn from her. The vast repercussions from that horrific night threaten
to destroy her stability and her chances for a happily ever after. Kyle
Finnegan comes into Carly’s life at the height of her turmoil. Can he
help her find what she desires most?
Tabitha Fletcher,
on the other hand, has suffered from a very young age. She has been
hiding from her past, which was full of abuse, loss and turmoil. She has
been so brutally damaged that she has very little hope of redemption.
The revolving door of men only leads her deeper into misery.
What
circumstance brings these two women together unexpectedly and can they
help each other heal? And will they each find what they need?
Redemption.
Love.
Family.

Just
reading the synopsis on this book. I knew that it was going to be a
tear jerker for me. It's a love story that is so profound and yet it is
hardly ever spoken of. It's the story of two women, torn apart by a life
that had left them scarred and a bond that they will forever share in a
little girl neither have met yet - Emily.
This is the journey of Tabitha and Carly. Both women having gone through life altering changes in their lives and feeling lost, hopeless and not worthy of a man's love. One still searching and one having found her rock. Emily is the little girl who brings these two women together. One being the birth mother and the other bring the child into their forever family through adoption. This story goes back and forth from the past to the present and you really get to know these two women and their struggles.
I highly recommend this book to everyone. I have work with women in crisis pregnancies before and I am so happy to see this issue come to light. It's hard for both sides of this coin and its a love that is unimaginable. The ending left me surprised (more of a catalyst to book #2 than a cliff hanger) and I look forward to more from this series. 5 tear worthy stars~
