Happy Release Day: Wet by Stacy Kestwick

wet KINDLEDoughnuts were her weakness.

If Sadie Mullins hadn’t been running on the beach to burn off the calories from her doughnut addiction, she wouldn’t have noticed the man not moving out in the water.

Wouldn’t have dived in after him.

Wouldn’t have met West Montgomery.

The cocky bastard should have been thankful, grateful even.

Of course, he wasn’t.

That should have been the end of it.

 Of course, it wasn’t.

 Damn doughnuts.

West slid behind me and plastered himself against me, wrapping his dripping arms around my waist. I turned to protest, and he pressed against my front, soaking most of my sundress.
“Hey!”
“Sorry, did I get you wet?” He grinned unrepentantly.
I pushed him away and pulled the bottom of the damp cotton away from my thighs before turning my accusing green gaze on him. “Are you trying to get me to strip down to my bikini?”
“Maybe.”
I tugged the dress over my head and laid it over the back of the center console, next to his shirt. “You could have just asked me, you know.”
“Would that have worked?” He raised his eyebrows, one corner of his mouth edging into a smile as he took in my bikini — seafoam-green edged with black lingerie-seamed detailing. Yes, I matched my bikini to my nail polish.
“Probably.”
“What else will you do if I ask?” He walked toward me slowly.
“What else do you want?”
He kept moving until we were almost touching. He bent his head down, stopping just short of my lips. “Everything,” he breathed, closing the last centimeter separating us.
His lips met mine, tasting of salt and sugar. Hands cupped my face and slid into my hair as we devoured each other. I wrapped my arms around him and grabbed his ass, pulling him snug against me until his hardness nestled into my softness. He cursed and ground himself against me, his tongue mimicking what his cock clearly wanted. I lifted one thigh and wrapped it around his waist, needing to get closer, my arms circling his back, and my hands clutching his shoulder blades.
We ate at each other, not bothering to pause for breath, and when his hands cupped my ass, lifting me and urging me to wrap my legs fully around his waist, I groaned with satisfaction, pressing my hips against him, desperate for friction. I nipped his lower lip, pausing to steal a breath, and he rested his forehead against mine, his beautiful eyes closed. Bending my head, I ran my tongue down his neck and trailed kisses along his shoulder as my hands explored his upper back, kneading his hard muscles and feeling them flex in response. Changing directions, I ran my palms up his neck, forcing his head back, and dug my fingers into his scalp until he opened his eyes. He groaned.
“I didn’t bring you out here for this.”
He rolled his hips, and I couldn’t answer, except to squeeze him tighter with my thighs.
I moved my lips to his ear. “Why the fuck not?”

COVER REVEAL - Vérité by Rachel Blaufeld

Verite Amazon   That’s me––Tingly Simmons––athlete, foreign-language major, professor lover, obsessed idiot girl. Definitely not a frat rat or sorority slut. I’ve never even played beer pong. I ditched the vapid, soulless high-society life of Los Angeles for the promise of something more meaningful in rural Ohio. Accepting a track scholarship for college, I tried running my way to happiness, but instead I ended up sleeping with my French professor and falling head over heels for him. When that relationship fell apart, so did I. Barely hanging on by a thread and using the most absurd coping skills, I was determined to hide behind my past indiscretions.

That was, until I met Tiberius Jones. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d learn the truth about love from a six-foot-five basketball player.

Holding You by Kelly Elliott

Lauren Reynolds wanted only two things in life—to run her father’s horse breeding business and Colt Matthews. Fearing Colt would take her position within the family business, she tried to push him far away from her heart.

When life could no longer keep Lauren and Colt apart, their two worlds became one. Every second of every moment, they spent together. Their love bloomed into something neither of them imagined—a bond so strong Lauren and Colt believed nothing would ever stand in their way.

However, life threw a cruel twist into Colt and Lauren’s planned happily ever after. Will fate let them live out the life they dreamed of, or will one of them be left alone, lost and angry?
“I’ll spend forever holding you … even if it’s only in my memory.”

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/24704789-holding-you

What I love about Kelly Elliott and her Wanted Series and subsequent spin off series, is that after reading them, you come away with a full heart and a smile on your face. I may be a little bias because Kelly's books are home to me. She makes this Texan one happy lady, every time she releases a book. I can't wait to get my hands on it and devour it as soon as possible.

What I love about Holding You is that is a good ole' fashion love story. About two people who fought their emotions and feeling for such a long time but once they acknowledged it and gave way to the emotions...it was pure bliss.

Lauren and Colt had gone through it all. The fights, the heartache, the longing for each other, not knowing how to take the next step. Once the lightbulb went off and their eyes were open - boy oh boy - what a ride. Colt is one romantic man (just like his daddy) and when he falls, he shows Lauren exactly what she is to him...his entire world.

Lauren, at times still has her doubts. How could they go from 0 to 60 so fast. Could all of this be true??

If you are looking for a fun and sexy read. Holding You is just the book to help you get through whatever book funk you might be trying to get out of. Love, Love, Love this book!

Lauren stood before me with the sexiest grin on her face. “That. Was. Fun.”
Laughing, I pulled her into my arms. “Yeah it was. I’ve never done anything like that before.”
Gazing into my eyes, Lauren seemed sedated. Her eyes sparkled and I imagined taking her again on the table and just burying my dick deep inside her as I slowly made love to her.
Lauren’s eyes filled with love as she spoke softly. “I’ve never done anything like that before either. We have lots of firsts together.”
Rubbing her nose with mine, I whispered, “Yes we do. I have a lot more firsts planned for us, Lauren.”
Burying her face in my chest, she said in a muffled voice, “I can’t wait.”

Kelly Elliott is married to a wonderful Texas cowboy who has a knack for making her laugh almost daily and supports her crazy ideas and dreams for some unknown reason...he claims it's because he loves her!

She’s also a mom to an amazing daughter who is constantly asking for something to eat while her fingers move like mad on her cell phone sending out what is sure to be another very important text message.

In her spare time she loves to sit in her small corner overlooking the Texas hill country and write.

One of her favorite things to do is go for hikes around her property with Gus....her chocolate lab and the other man in her life, and Rose, her golden retriever. When Kelly is not outside helping the hubby haul brush, move rocks or whatever fun chore he has in store for her that day, you’ll find her inside reading, writing or watching HGTV.

A Match Made on Main Street By Olivia Miles

Anna Madison has faithfully avoided her old flame for six years, even though their Main Street restaurants are only a few blocks apart. The sting of his rejection was enough to make her swear off dating for good, but when her successful restaurant is damaged in a fire, she's left to the mercy of the one man she's spent years proving she doesn't need...and convincing herself she doesn't want.
Mark Hastings can't say he's happy being alone, but at least his heart is safe. Burnt out from running the Briar Creek diner, he's ready for a change. He tells himself he's just being neighborly by letting Anna use his kitchen, but being by her side again stirs up temptations he might not be able to resist a second time around.

Mark leaned in, catching a whiff of her sweet scent as he did. He closed his eyes briefly, trying to capture the single sense. When he looked up, Anna was staring at him, her gaze hooded. He could lean in, just another inch, remember what it felt like to kiss her mouth, to feel her soft curves pressed against him.
He pulled himself back in the stool instead. He was here to find her friendship again. Nothing more. “The bookstore’s doing fine now; I see people in there all the time. It’s never looked so great.”
Anna sighed through a small smile. “It does, yes. But…that’s not what has me worried.  I took out a loan to match Grace’s investment. She’s covering rent and the bookstore renovation; I’m covering well…everything else. For now. It was all going to be fine. More than fine. And then--”
“The fire.”
She nodded. “The fire.”
“How bad is it?”
She met his stare. “Bad.”
He let out a low whistle. It was exactly the kind of situation that made Hastings to appealing. The place was paid up; they owned it outright. A new venture, of any kind, could never offer the same security. One day it could be booming, the next…
“Does Grace know?”
“No,” said quickly, “and I don’t intend to tell her.”
He leaned into his elbow. “So what’s your plan, then?”
She looked at him quizzically. “I intend to win this contest!”
He burst out laughing, hearing his own foolish desires in her preposterous statement. Until now, winning had been a vague notion, not something he was banking on, but hearing her say it aloud, a desire to not only compete but to win, made him suddenly believe it was possible. That anything was possible.
“I do intend to win!” Anna cried, but even she couldn’t stop from laughing. The sound rolled through the room and pulled at his heart, filling holes he didn’t even know were there.
He didn’t realize he’d stopped laughing until she did. The air went still, punctured only by the sound of his heart beating in his chest, and he knew he couldn’t hold back any longer. Without thinking, or daring to consider the consequences, he leaned into her and her eyes flashed with surprise, her lashes fluttering quickly as he slid off his stool and closed the distance between them.
A gasp of surprise escaped her throat as he brought his lips to hers and his hands came around her waist, pulling her close to his chest until he felt her body relax on each kiss. He sensed her hesitation, but he couldn’t pull back, not when her lips were on his, her sweet taste filling his senses. She parted her mouth, and he pulled her closer, feeling the soft swell of her breasts against his chest. His groin pooled with warmth as her thighs rubbed against his. He pressed his palms deeper into her back, and lower, resisting the urge to explore her hips, knowing if he did he wouldn’t be able to stop.  And he should stop--he should. But…he couldn’t.
He kissed her, as if for the first time, tasting the forbidden fruit, knowing it was wrong, wrong, wrong, even thought it felt so damn right. He tore his lips from hers, letting his mouth roam her neck, burying himself into her hair, that coconut-scented hair, and breathed into her ear, wondering if she would run, if she’d push him back, tell him to go.
He pulled back, watching the way her eyes searched his. He should say something, explain himself, but there was nothing to say.
Anna’s cheeks were dotted with pink as she picked up a knife and pulled the vegetables from the basket. His gaze lingered her on a few moments more, watching the way she expertly chopped and diced, the way they’d been instructed in school, fingers tucked.
“Anna.” His voice was low and husky.
He should tell her it was a mistake, that it couldn’t happen again. That he wanted to be friends, to make her understand once and for all that it was all they ever should have been.
“We should get to work,” she said abruptly, and he hated the slight quiver in her voice. “We still have a lot do and we leave for Cedar Valley tomorrow afternoon.”
They’d be at the lodge for two nights; he’d have time to talk to her then. For now, she was right. It was time to get to work, put all personal matters aside, and focus on winning this contest. And getting what they wanted at long last.

A great second chance novel that you will fall in love with! I loved this cute romance that will tug at your heart.

Mark and Anna have a past. A past that no one else in their small New England town knows about. Which is quite the feat for a town where everyone is into everyone else's business. The two have spent the last six years avoiding each other. But when a fire at Anna's cafe forces her together with Mark in order to  keep her family business afloat... memories, pain and feelings all come to the surface. With a meddling Aunt and sisters who only want the best for their sister... the two find themselves working together and finding the emotions of past are hard to swallow. Especially when Anna is holding a BIG secret that could forever push Mark away.

Characters are well developed with lots of personality, making you fall in love with each and every person. This was the first book that I have read from Olivia and will definitely be adding the rest of her books to my TBR.

Having grown up in New England, Olivia Miles attended McGill University in Montreal, Quebec before settling in Chicago where she lives with her husband, their daughter, and two ridiculously pampered pups. When she is not chasing after her little ones, she is hard at work creating feisty heroines and alpha heroes with a heart. A city girl with a fondness for small town charm, Olivia enjoys highlighting both ways of life in her stories.

Jamie Rae's Message to Readers

As a military spouse and Air Force veteran, I wanted my debut to not only be about something that I knew and loved but to also be a story that delivered a powerful message. Your reviews and feedback have meant the world to me and I can’t thank you enough for taking a chance on my feisty, female fighter pilot. Your words have made me laugh, smile, ugly cry, happy dance, fist bump, and cheer. Most importantly they have given me the encouragement to keep writing. I love and adore each of you! In the words of Tink, “Holy hell, you rock!”

EXCERPT:

I put the key in the ignition and started the Jeep when the door opened. My pulse quickened and I locked eyes with my monumental mistake. I shifted the Jeep into gear and reversed. I did not want to see him and I definitely didn’t want to be alone with him. He held a motorcycle helmet in his hand and started toward me. “Lieutenant,” he yelled. I put the Jeep into drive as he continued rushing toward me. “Wait!” Not a chance in hell.

Accelerating way too fast, I peeled out of the parking lot without looking back. Adrenaline pumped through my veins. I turned the corner a lot faster than I should have and a security forces policeman flashed his patrol lights as a warning. I slowed and drove the twenty-five mile an hour speed limit. The way my blood pumped, I could have gotten out and ran faster than I drove.

I heard the motorbike’s buzz before I saw it. Locke was behind me.

I wanted to slam on my brakes and see how far I could launch him into the air. He’d need his own jet to get down. Once I got off the military base, I threw it in fifth. The motorbike had no problem keeping up with me. I pulled into my driveway, cut the engine, jumped over the door, and stormed to my walkway. He was off his bike and at my side before I made it to the porch.

“Wait!” I ignored him and trotted up the first few stairs to the porch. His footsteps followed.

“We need to talk.” My key sank into the lock.

“Tinklee,” he said with a thickened accent.

I swung around, resisting the urge to push his ass off my property. “So you do realize I have an actual name.”

“What did you want me to do?” he asked with a deep-set crease between his brows. He was visibly upset.

“You shocked the bloody hell out of me. Why didn’t you tell me you were a JSF student?”

“I don’t know, why didn’t you tell me you were a JSF instructor?” I questioned and threw my hands in the air.

“You didn’t tell me your name, which by the way, might have been good to know. I read the student roster. That would have saved us both from this mistake.”

I jerked my head like his words slapped me across the face. It was too late. It was out there. I knew it was a mistake, but saying it out loud cut deep. I turned back toward the door. “That was a daft thing to say,” he said in a gentle, caring voice.

“I didn’t mean it like that. Listen, last night was incredible.”

“Just go,” I replied. I turned the key and I tried to swallow the lump wedged in my throat.

He grabbed my hand and sparked that fire that made me want to forget who he was and what it meant. My perfect stranger was back with all his tenderness.

I wanted to kiss him, hold him, and not have any of the rules matter.

But I knew it was impossible.

He knew it, too.

Without Me by Chelle Bliss

WMTourBannerTHE LAST MEN OF INKED BOOK IS NOW AVAILABLE!

I’d led a selfish existence.
I liked who I was. Hell, I loved myself. Women threw themselves at me and I took what they offered without remorse. I promised them nothing. I sank my teeth into life, holding on to the bitch like my very existence depended on it. Time passed. Women came and went. The second I let my guard down and released the hold I had on life… What was my award for such carelessness? A love so spectacular and heart wrenching that it threw me for a loop. When I was in too deep to escape, my greatest fears became reality. This is my story. My downfall. My salvation.

Oh my! What a way to end the Men of Inked Series with Anthony! This is an amazing series with so much passion, fire and alpha hot men with women who put them in their places. And Anthony and Max's story is no different.

Anthony has always been a manwhore. Giving his brother's and sister all kinds of grief about falling in love. He loves his family but he also loves women. And like all the Gallo's, he has never had a problem attracting women and taking them to bed. So when he meets Max and she says no...well it's game on for Anthony. He never saw it coming, but their was something about Max that he just couldn't pass up. Anthony is a Gallo, so you know he is going to bring on the alpha hotness with a lot of heart too. Max has a secret, and even though he is attracted to Anthony, she just can't get involved and end up breaking both of their hearts.

As always, once you get into a Men of Inked book, you have a really hard time putting the book down. It's sad to say goodbye to the series but Chelle has promised a spin off series where our favorite Gallo's will be making appearances. They will always have a special place --- right here in my heart.
