Bailey Gray is tired of her perfectly planned life. Everything about her life has been organized and lived out to the expectations set of her parents. Everything happens for a reason, right? When Bailey, the mayor's daughter, decides that she has had enough and snaps as she is giving her Valedictorian speech. The one person she didn't think she would run to was Dylan Wade. Even though they had been friends and neighbors since the age of three. Dylan's mom was killed by a drunk driver when he was 10 and after a couple of month, Bailey and Dylan went their separate ways. Bailey was Miss Perfect. Dating the Quarterback with the perfect friends and perfect life. Dylan was the town bad boy and delinquent. Always in trouble. After being dragged from the stage by her father and arguing with him in the parking lot, Bailey catches Dylan with his father arguing at the same time. When Dylan's dad strikes him - Bailey run to his defense. Bailey had always liked Dylan. But it was her family that kept her away from him. She was 18 now and she could make her own decisions. So when Dylan asked her to come with him - she jumped in the car and relished her new found freedom. The connection between Bailey and Dylan was magnetic, electrifying, pure bliss. With a road trip and a summer bucket list, they set off from Washington State to Birmingham to visit Dylan's brother Drew.
If you loved The Edge of Never,then you are going to LOVE Waiting for You! I loved how they crossed paths with Jameson and Sway from Ms. Stahl's racing series in the book. Even though I have not read the series - I will now! You will fall in love with Bailey and Dylan and I felt every emotional tug and pull between these two. This is a MUST READ and will definitely be in my top 20 of 2013 (Maybe even within my top 5 of the year).
