The Christmas Cottage - I adored Lacey. She is spunky, fun, quirky and has totally been in love with her best friend Ava's brother since she was 15! Now getting ready as Maid of Honor to Ava, her job is to help prepare the Christmas Cottage, where Ava's wedding night will take place. Ava thinks the cottage is full of magic - anyone who has ever stayed there on their wedding night has had a long and loving marriage. The only problem is that Lacey thinks Ava is getting married for all the wrong reasons and putting too much fate into the hands of a small cottage! But she goes along trying to make her best friend happy. Ava has a binder full of ideas of how to make the night the best night ever. The only problem is she's suppose to get the cottage ready with the best man --- Ava's brother Ean. Lacey decides to head up to the cottage to get as much done before Ean can show up. The least amount of time she can spend with him, the better. What he wasn't counting on was a blizzard and the man of her dreams being up at the family ranch, where the cottage is located, already.
Lacey and Ean's story is a sweet romance. Nostalgic fun comes with the snow days. The only truly annoying part of this story was Ava. That girl!!! Jeez I wanted to smack her!
Now on to Ever After - This is Ava's story and it was a little harder to swallow. Although I still liked the overall feel of the book - Ava was just a little bit too stubborn for me. Brian is a great guy and a SAINT I tell you for sticking around the wishy washy Ava.
The book is well worth The Christmas Cottage storyline and HEA for Lacey and Ean. The good news with Ever After is we get to see the two lovebirds from The Christmas Cottage again and Brian is the bright star in this story. Both books end with a HEA.

I LOVED Connor and Faith. They were flirty and fun, sexy and steam, sweet and tender. Everything you look for in the perfect romance novel. Even though this is book 3 in the Second Chance Series by Jessica Lemmon, it can totally be read as a standalone. This is the first novel I have read by Ms. Lemmon and I have gone and bought her whole library! Love her writing style and can't wait to dive into the rest of the books in this series.
