Gossip is the ultimate currency in Rosemary Beach, but Bethy and Tripp have managed to keep one big secret to themselves.
Eight
years ago, Tripp Newark was dating a rich girl he didn’t like and was
on his way to Yale—and a future he didn’t want. The only way he could
escape his predictable life
would be to give up the money and power that came with his family’s
name. And that’s exactly what he planned to do. At the end of the
summer, he was going to ride off on his Harley and never look back.
That was before he met Beth Lowry.
It was only supposed to be a summer fling. She was a sixteen-year-old trailer-park girl who served drinks to his friends at Kerrington Country Club. They didn’t run in the same social circles. No one even knew they were friends, let alone lovers. Yet, for one summer, Bethy became his entire world.
But he couldn’t give up on his plan. He needed to leave Rosemary Beach, but he vowed he would come back for her.
Problem was, by the time he came back—years later than promised—it was too late. His cousin, Jace, had already claimed the woman he loved. . . .

Rosemary Beach has become one of my favorite places to hang. And Tripp and Bethy took my heart on a wild ride with YOU WERE MINE.
Eight years ago, Tripp had found the love of his life. The only problem was that she was too young. Too young to be taken on this wild ride he was about to embark on. He didn't give up. He was coming back for her, but something happened that changed all his plans and he ended up losing Bethy.
Now Tripp is back in Rosemary Beach, ready to fight for the love of his life, even if she hates him and refuses to talk to him. Bethy has just tragically lost Jace, the one man she was finally able to give her heart over too. After years of heartbreak from the Tripp, one man she thought was the love of her life. Now that Tripp is back in Rosemary she refuses to fall for him again, knowing that any day he would leave her behind, once again.
The only thing is that Bethy's heart knows that there will never be anyone but Tripp to occupy her heart and so the healing needs to begin. But are Tripp and Bethy able to get over a past that left them both heartbroken?
I loved Tripp (which I loved him in the previous books too). We get to see his true personality and oh boy, does that boy know how to make you melt. Bethy, you just want to hug. She has been through so much..with her father, her aunt, Tripp and Jace. She has lived her whole life blaming herself for a multitude of guilt, but she quickly learns that things aren't always what them seem.
Fans of the series will love this book. Although it can be read as a stand alone, I would highly suggest reading the series to know all the backstories with everyone involved.
