BLOG TOUR: Pieces of You by Cassia Leo

In Relentless, college student Claire Nixon and surfer Adam Parker each had a painful past too heavy to carry alone. Claire tried to push Adam away, but Adam's relentless pursuit of her heart and her secrets made her walls come crumbling down.

Though their hearts will never be whole again, Claire and Adam now know they are stronger together than they are apart.

But now Claire's attending college a hundred miles away from Adam. With their relationship already hanging by a thread, Adam is sent to Hawaii on business.

And rock star Chris Knight is back in Claire's life.

Chris wants his ex-girlfriend back and he knows just how to get her: only he has the power to mend the final missing piece of Claire's broken heart. Now Claire must choose between a long-distance relationship with Adam and a second chance at love, family, and home.

New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language, drug use, and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Today I have Cassia Leo, author of Relentless and Pieces of You, on the blog today. Thank you Cassia for stopping by today.

The subject matter for this series is pretty heavy, yet a very relevant subject with a lot of teens today. What inspired you to start this story?

The story began with Claire’s secret and grew from there. The inspiration for Claire’s story came mostly from the secret I chose for her and from various people I’ve known and stories I’ve heard about the foster care system. Unfortunately, I’ve encountered a few people in my life who were tossed around foster homes after their parent(s) died and it’s tragic to hear what these kids go through to find a forever home. I want to say that Claire was lucky to find Jackie Knight when she was 15, but she had been shuffled around for years, so you can’t really call that lucky.

When you get into your writing mode, what are some of your must haves for writing? (Music, Silence, Write at Night, etc).

Music. First and foremost. I’ve been known to thumb-type entire chapters on my tablet while on the go, but I much prefer to sit at the breakfast bar with my laptop and my wireless headphones while listening to Spotify.

Did you always know you wanted to be a writer?

Pretty much, yes. I’ve dreamt of being an author since I was in kindergarten.

How do you think social media has helped authors today?

I don’t think indie authors and, to a certain extent, traditionally published authors can survive without social media. I think most people spend at least an hour or two on various social media sites every day. Many readers, myself included, rely on book recommendations from our fellow friends and followers. It’s a lot easier than having to read two hundred reviews from people you don’t know.

Ok, so you can tell me…who is Claire going to end up with? It’s Adam right? Chris??

Yes. One of those two. ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and I can’t wait to see how this story ends with Bring Me Home!

Thanks for having me!
USA Today bestselling author Cassia Leo loves her coffee, chocolate, and margaritas with salt. When she's not writing, she spends way too much time watching old reruns of Friends and Sex and the City. When she's not watching reruns, she's usually enjoying the California sunshine or reading--sometimes both.
