BLOG TOUR: Light in the Shadows by A. Meredith Walters

<

How do you keep going when you feel like your life is over?

Maggie never thought she’d see Clay again. So, she attempts to put her life back together after her heart has been shattered to pieces. Moving on and moving forward, just as Clay wanted her to.

Clay never stopped thinking of Maggie. Even after ripping their lives apart and leaving her behind to get the help he so desperately needed. He is healing...slowly. But his heart still belongs to the girl who tried to save him.

When a sudden tragedy brings Maggie and Clay face to face again, nothing is the same. Yet some things never change. Can the darkness that threatened to consume them be transformed into something else and finally give them what they always wanted? And can two people who fought so hard to be together, finally find their happiness? Or will their demons and fear drive them apart for good?

The thing about love, is even when it destroys you, it has a way of mending what is broken. And in the shadows, you can still see the light.

Light in the Shadows by A.Meredith Walters is a to the gut book to read. This book should be read with patience and an open mind taking each chapter as they come and not anticipate the next moment.

Light in the Shadows focuses on Clay who at the time is in a facility to help him past his demons. It delves into the many triggers and torments he was around and how he learned to combat them. Maggie was his biggest demon of all, so he thought.
Maggie was the love of his life who triggered plenty of issues in their world. Maggie dearly loved Clay and wants nothing more than to be his forever but Clay had other things to say about it.

The unthinkable happens in the world of Clay and he finds himself going to take care of his Aunt Ruby. The hurdle to this is that going to take care of Ruby is the prospect of being close to Maggie once again. Will Clay be able to deal with those demons once again.
I loved this book, although it is not what I would normally read I still enjoyed the realness of the story and felt the struggles of this couple.

I give this book 4 stars for its well put together story and wonderful writing. A.Meredith closes her book in a very nice way and leaves you with plenty of closure. It is refreshing to see a love story without all the bells and whistles. I think you will enjoy this book.
